Description

As soon as an Operating Room nurse, known as Circulating nurse clocks in at work, has to be ready for any scheduled surgery or emergency. Usually, the supervisor known as Charge nurse assigns the OR nurse daily assignment based on their specialty experience and competencies. There are several specialties such as neurology, Orthopedics, Vascular, General, Heart, Urology, Obstetrics, Gynecologic, Colorectal, ophthalmologic and Pneumologic surgeries. With this seminar, the Operating Room nurse will visualize clearly the importance of interdisciplinary coordination , administering materials, verifying equipment’s, following standards and protocols, and keeping a timeframe for being able to complete all assigned scheduled surgeries of the day.
